Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is a full-service, 25-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services and an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility. We are dedicated to being a leader in providing and promoting health and wellness to the residents of east central Montana and western North Dakota. Telemedicine and teleradiology networks allow GMC to con

nect directly with patients and medical providers throughout the world. With our highly-qualified team of medical providers, GMC offers a comprehensive, integrated system of services including primary, long-term and specialty care as well as prevention and wellness services. Our medical providers are easily accessible at the attached Gabert Clinic. GMC also owns and operates The Heritage on Merrill, a 13-unit assisted living facility offering personal, 24-hour professional care. In addition, GMC operates Eastern Montana Veterans’ Home: a long-term care facility in Glendive, which features 80 beds, including a 16-bed secure Alzheimer’s Unit. We are proud of our ability to incorporate current technology and services and provide state-of-the-art medical care to our region.

💙✨ It's Acute Cares SERVE Spotlight Week ✨💙

This week we’re shining a BIG spotlight on our incredible Acute Care team! From the ER to the floor and everywhere in between, this group truly does it all.

Acute Care covers so many areas—Emergency/Trauma, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, ICU, Labor & Delivery, Nursery, Transitional Care, Behavioral Health, Urgent Care, Social Services —you name it. And through every moment, for every patient, across every stage of life… they are there. 🙌

Our nurses, CNAs, LPNs, and ER techs are the heartbeat of patient care. They’re the ones at the bedside, keeping a close eye on every detail, jumping into action when something changes, and making sure each patient feels safe, cared for, and understood. Whether it’s delivering medications, assisting with care, or simply offering a reassuring smile. They do it all with skill, compassion, and heart ❤️

And our Acute Care Social Services support is just as important with helping patients navigate resources, plan next steps, and feel supported beyond their hospital stay 💛

Together, this team is the perfect blend of clinical expertise, teamwork, and compassion. They are the ones who turn care plans into real care, and moments into meaningful impact.

Today, Monday, May 4, parking at Glendive Medical Center is limited while we set up our new mobile MRI unit. This is a temporary inconvenience until we install our permanent state-of-the-art MRI later this summer. You’ll notice a trailer in the lot during installation.

Thanks for your patience today—we’re excited to bring even more services to our community!

A quick heads up for Monday, May 4:

Parking at Glendive Medical Center will be a little limited as we welcome a new mobile MRI unit! A trailer will be set up in the lot for the day. This is a temporary inconvenience until we install our permanent state-of-the-art MRI later this summer.

Yesterday, several of our employees spent time out on GMC’s adopted Paramount Trail in Makoshika State Park ☀️ enjoying the sunshine and fresh air while caring for the trail 🌿

They walked the path and picked up litter along the way 🗑️, helping keep the area clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone who visits. Even with a little wind 💨, it was a great way to get outside, give back, and make a difference one piece of trash at a time 💚

We wrapped up Volunteer Appreciation Week on Friday with our annual Auxiliary Spring Luncheon—and it was the perfect way to celebrate! 🌸💛

Great food, lots of laughs, and time spent together made it such a special afternoon. It’s always a good reminder of how incredible our Auxiliary is and what we can do when we come together.

We had a fantastic time celebrating HIM/Revenue Integrity SERVE Spotlight Week at GMC! 🎉💙 We are so grateful for all this team does every day and the important role they play in supporting our work across the organization.

Jamie Iwen enjoys reading, crafting (especially cross stitch), and traveling.

Carol Stedman enjoys family time, writing weekly letters, baking, refinishing furniture, and staying connected with her loved ones.

Brita enjoys reading, painting, photography, barrel racing, roping, hiking, kayaking, showing horses, and spending time with her animals—Tess, Mojito, Stillwell, Remi, Daisy Mae, Tucker, and Emmy.
