If you are out and about and want to pick up school supplies for teachers in the community we would love to share them. We are treating our teachers to breakfast this week and blessing them with supplies for the classroom…

The start of a new school year is an exciting time, and we're eager to demonstrate our gratitude to the hardworking teachers in our area.

From now until August 15th, we're collecting vital school supplies, including Clorex wipes, hand sanitizers, note cards, sticky notes, pencils, paper towels, black sharpies, ziplock bags, Lysol spray, double sided tape.

Your donation will help us provide supplies to Glenpool Middle School in August, making a real impact on our community.

As the children get ready to head back to school, we can’t help but reminisce about our own school days. One of my favorite games growing up was Red Light, Green Light.

Since Tuesday was a holiday honoring the first traffic light, I decided to play a special version with our residents—minus the running, of course!

Watch until the end if you need a good laugh. Our residents give us a reason to smile every single day, and it’s truly a blessing to care for them!

Our home is truly a home, and this afternoon I asked Joseph, one of our nursing team associates, 'Why haven't we heard you play this summer?' That's all it took, because he played for our residents this evening. Video in comments.

You may recall that our herd of cattle wandered off earlier this month and made their way to Chick-fil-A. Well, today we delivered a special gift to Sean and the staff who helped feed our “cows” during their little rendezvous!

Today’s craft with Ann was a deliciously fun treat!
Our residents enjoyed making homemade butter, which we served with crackers and toast. The activity sparked memories of "the good ol' days"— and the butter was delicious!

One of the best parts of caring for seniors is discovering their hidden talents—and seeing their faces light up as they share them with you is absolutely priceless. Today, Linda’s daughter brought her guitar, and Linda played us a beautiful tune!

The team has been busy discussing midday snacks for our residents. These items were discussed as being something they would enjoy. The crackers and butter remind me of my grandparents, and the cornbread and milk remind me of my mom!

I've been advocating and volunteering with our local Alzheimer’s chapter for 10 years and have seen significant progress in research for a cure and treatment options.

We strive to treat our residents with dignity, respect, and acknowledge that they still have life to live. For adult children and family members worried about a possible diagnosis, there is hope.

I'm confident that the white flower will arrive soon.
