Job Description
• Clinic Pharmacy is looking for a prn pharmacist to maintain the clean and orderly appearance of the pharmacy area, prioritizing work, and processing prescription orders in compliance with Federal and State laws and company policies and procedures. Pharmacist will provide consulting services to customers regarding the effective usage of medications, awareness with drug interactions, and answer questions regarding OTC medications. You will work in an environment where the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained as well as full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. Shifts will vary but will be scheduled Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 6pm, with no weekends, and no holidays.
Qualifications
• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution
• Current pharmacist licensure in the state of Wyoming
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
• Certified Immunizer (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
• Controlling medications by monitoring patient drug therapies and advising patients and providers of pertinent drug interventions.
• Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, etc.
• Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration; maintains records for controlled substances; removes outdated, damaged, and recalled drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervises the work results of support personnel; maintains current registration.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assures that pharmacy is compliant with all federal fraud, waste, and abuse regulations and HIPPA privacy requirements. Also adheres to contract requirements of various PBM’s, vendors, wholesalers, etc.
• Develops and maintains pharmacy policies and procedures; maintains accurate records for both patients and pharmacy.
• Assists as a team member with other tasks that may arise to maintain quality and a professional environment.
