Special seasonal event this Wednesday 10/30 in celebration of Halloween! As we enter the dark half of the year, join myself and Jamie Vanness at 6:00pm for a Halloween soul flow with restorative practice, reiki, and guided meditation in honor of the maiden, mother, crone. Come learn about the sacred Celtic celebration of Samhain (pronounced sow-wen), more commonly referred to as All Hallow’s Eve, the night when the veil between this world and the underworld is lifted, allowing us to reunite with our loved ones and ancestors. As the summer officially comes to an end, we celebrate completion, show gratitude for the labor sown and the bounty reaped throughout the past year, and acknowledge this very valuable time of rest, darkness, and silence. Just as Mother Earth takes this time to revitalize herself for the next year’s harvest, we as humans so often forget that we need to do the same.

Join me tomorrow morning at 9:00 at Evolve-Z Yoga & More for a little fusion of Yoga and Pilates! Bend, stretch, and strengthen your muscles, then wind down with a relaxing meditation. No experience necessary. These and gentle, easy movements that anyone can do! Modifications and props are used in order to accommodate all body types and abilities. As the days become shorter and darker, instead of feeling sad and shut down, we should begin to tune into the cycle of Mother Nature and take this time to rest, relax, and rejuvenate, just as the earth does in the winter, and just as the animals do as they hibernate. It’s important to take this time for ourselves and perform self-care when needed. Come stretch, move, and meditate with gratitude for the season, giving thanks for all that we have and all that we have gained in this past year 💜
