We’re excited to welcome Elisia Barber, MSN, APRN, FNP-C to The Eden Center team!

Elisia is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a compassionate, whole-person approach to care. She is passionate about helping individuals struggling with substance use disorders, chronic health concerns, and recovery by providing personalized, evidence-based support in a safe and judgment-free environment.

Elisia will offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services in our Glens Falls office, helping patients navigate recovery with dignity, support, and individualized care that looks beyond symptoms alone.

At The Eden Center, we believe mental health, physical health, and overall wellness are deeply connected, and Elisia’s approach reflects that philosophy beautifully.

Location: On-site at partner school(s) in the Glens Falls City School District, NY.

Schedule: Aligned to the school-year calendar.

Start Date: Late summer/ start of the 2026-2027 school year (with transition support).

Employment type: W-2 Employee *1099 NON-BENEFIT POSITION *

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

About The Eden Center:
The Eden Center for Integrative Care is an established mental health practice serving the Glens Falls region. Through our partnership with the Glens Falls City School District, we deliver mental health support directly inside schools — meeting students where they are. We're a collaborative, clinician-friendly team that values quality care, autonomy, and a healthy place to practice.

About the role:
We're hiring a school-based therapist to provide individual and group counseling to students on-site during the school day. You'll work closely with our school-services lead, the school psychologist, teachers, and families to help kids build skills, work through challenges, and thrive. This is a relationship-driven, in-person role embedded in the school community.

What you'll do:
Provide individual and small-group therapy to students during school hours
Partner with school staff and our clinical team on student support and treatment planning
Communicate with parents/guardians and coordinate care
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
Support students through day-to-day challenges and occasional crisis moments

This role works with elementary-age children as well as older students. The right person genuinely enjoys working with younger kids and finds that work meaningful — that's central to the fit, not an afterthought.

Qualifications:
NYS license: LCSW, LMHC, or LMSW, LMFT, LCSW-R (LMSW considered with supervision)
Experience or strong interest in working with children/adolescents in a school or community setting
Collaborative, dependable, and comfortable working independently on-site
New and recently licensed graduates are encouraged to apply — we'll support your growth

This month marks Niki’s one year anniversary with us, and we’re incredibly grateful to have her as part of The Eden Center team.

Over the past year, Niki has helped so many patients through her compassionate, whole-person approach to care. Whether she’s supporting someone through hormone therapy, nutrition consults, peptide consults, or functional medicine evaluations, her goal is always the same: helping people feel better by looking deeper and addressing the root cause.

With more than 20 years of nursing experience, and almost a decade as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner , Niki brings both expertise and genuine care to every patient interaction.
