History of Glens Falls Pediatrics

More than 40 years ago Glens Falls Hospital was recruiting Pediatricians with the encouragement of local medical staff members and community need. Dr. Guy Lehine and his wife, Bente came to Glens Falls and began their practice. The first private site was in a small apartment located next to a corn field and community college. In the beginning the growth of the practice was quite slow. There were days it was so quiet you could hear the corn grow and the birds sing. Today Glens Falls Pediatric Consultants practices medicine on Warren Street in Glens Falls and Carpenter Lane in Wilton, NY. The solo practice has evolved over the years to several providers operating seven days a week, 365 days a year. We treat patients from birth to twenty-one years of age. The practitioners have special interests in neonatology, asthma/allergy, developmental disabilities and behavioral health. We are truly your medical home.

We know kids don’t only get sick Monday through Friday — that’s why we’re open on Sundays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for same‑day sick appointments.

Our pediatric team is here to care for your child in the office, so you can avoid long waits and unnecessary visits to urgent care.

Sunday visits are ideal for:
Fevers
Sore throat
Ear pain
Cough or cold symptoms
Rashes
Other simple, acute illnesses

Your child will be seen by pediatric providers who know their history, ensuring better, more personalized care.

🌟 Reminder: Walk‑In Sick Hours in Our Glens Falls Office Our Glens Falls office offers walk‑in sick visits Monday through Friday from 7:30–8:00 AM.

These visits are perfect for:
Ear pain
Sore throat
Rash
Pink eye
Simple, acute illnesses that need quick attention

No appointment needed — just walk in.

Please note:
Chronic or complex concerns (ongoing symptoms, behavioral concerns, medication management, etc.) still require a scheduled appointment so we can give your child the time and attention they need.

Choosing walk‑in hours helps your child be seen faster, keeps you out of urgent care, and ensures continuity of care with our pediatric team.

Inclement Weather Update for Monday
Due to the inclement weather expected on Monday, our office will be opening at 12:00 PM.

There will be no walk‑in sick appointments available that day.

Patients may begin calling the office at 7:30 AM. Our phone nurse will be available to help schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide general medical guidance.

Please stay safe and thank you for your understanding as we adjust our schedule to keep everyone protected during the storm.

This webinar will share the reasons why sleep difficulties may be more common in autistic individuals, realistic ways to use evidence-based strategies to address the common challenges or difficulty falling asleep, night wakings, or overall reduced with sleep with autistic children and adolescents, and available resources to continue to learn more about these strategies or share this information with others.

Immunization Guidance Update

Recent updates from the CDC have prompted many questions about vaccine schedules and requirements. At Glens Falls Pediatric Consultants, our priority remains the health and safety of the children and families we serve.

We will continue to follow the immunization recommendations set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). These guidelines reflect the most comprehensive, evidence‑based standards for protecting children and our community from vaccine‑preventable illnesses.
