✨ Have you heard of lip and tongue ties being a “fad” ?!✨

What is NOT a fad is optimal function and oral motor development.

In babies that have a lip and or tongue tie, a lot of times a corresponding challenge is torticollis and these can make feeding incredibly challenging. So you may ask, well why did the revision not happen when my mom was breast feeding and having challenges? It comes down to knowledge from pediatric providers and a parent knowing that feeding should not be a challenging experience! This is also from a generation that was told to “toughen up” their ni***es prior to breast feeding, when in fact breast feeding is not supposed to be a painful experience.

Are you having challenges feeding your little one at either the breast or bottle? Or are they displaying difficulties in chewing foods? These are all areas that I can help with!

PreK/K Fine Motor Classes- geared to help your child with handwriting, scissor skills, and more!

2-3 year old Fine Motor Classes- these classes are to help your child begin developing those pre-writing skills that set the necessary foundation for letter formation!

Tummy Time Classes: These classes are for you and your infant (birth to 4 months old) to help make tummy time more enjoyable for both of you! You will also be able to connect with other families and their little ones!

✨What even is TORTICOLLIS?!✨

Torticollis is a tightness in the neck (more specifically the sternocleidomastoid muscles) and causes a whole host of difficulties for your baby!

So how common is it?! VERY common! Over 50% of babies have some degree of torticollis!

Some signs and symptoms of torticollis are:
Lip/tongue tie
Difficulty with achieving full range of motion at the neck (being able to touch chin to shoulder on both sides)
Difficulty with breast and/or bottle feeding
Flat or bald spot on your baby’s head

Early detection and treatment is KEY 🔑
