Community collaboration and connection continue to strengthen opportunities across our region!

CWI’s Community & Employment Division recently hosted a meet and greet with Warren County Family Court Case Manager to provide an overview of our programs and services. The discussion focused on building relationships, sharing resources, and exploring ways we can work together to support individuals and families in our community.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and continue strengthening partnerships that make a difference.

"Investments made last year are already making a difference, but without consistent funding, that progress is at risk. As New York lawmakers continue to debate the final budget, we urge our leadership to include a full 4% TII to stabilize the I/DD service system.

Essential services, staff, and individuals with I/DD cannot afford to wait any longer.

This week is critical for the New York State budget, and the TII is actively being discussed. Providers supporting the I/DD community are facing rising costs and staffing shortages amidst growing demand.

Please tell your legislators they must include the full 4% TII in the final budget: https://bit.ly/4tm0hhk

Today we’re celebrating our Transportation's Team—the drivers, monitors, mechanics and behind-the-scenes staff who keep CWI moving every single day.

Your work is about so much more than getting from point A to point B. You help create safe starts to the day, smooth transitions between programs, and reliable routines that support independence, dignity, and connection.

Rain, snow, early mornings, changing routes, and tight timelines—you show up with professionalism, patience, and heart. Because of you, people get where they need to be, and they get there safely and with care.

Thank you to our team (Walter, Kathyrn, Darlene, Juanita, Beth, Chris, Shelly, Cora, Tabitha, James, Patricia, Todd, Katrina, Marc and Chrissy) for all you do to keep our agency—and our community moving forward.

And that’s a wrap on another wonderful art class with The Hyde Collection. A special shoutout to Seasoned, the SUNY Adirondack Culinary Center, for the collaboration and showing us how art is truly food for the soul.

We are so grateful for the creativity, connection, and fun shared throughout this experience! 🎨✨

Our friends from Everts Day Hab stopped by the West Glens Falls Fire House to show their appreciation with some yummy cookies. 🍪🚒

Thank you to the firefighters for all that you do for our community, and great job to the Everts crew for spreading kindness and gratitude! 👏

Earlier this week, our Senior Leadership Team had the opportunity to spread a little kindness across CWI with a special May Basket “Kindness Pop-Up.”

Throughout the day, small baskets filled with treats, comfort items, and appreciation were delivered to staff across the agency as a simple reminder of how valued they are.

Every day, our team members show patience, compassion, teamwork, and dedication in supporting the people we serve and one another — Tuesday was a chance to pause and say thank you.

We are so grateful for the heart our workforce brings to CWI each and every day. Sometimes the smallest gestures can brighten a busy day and remind us all of the importance of kindness and connection.
