As you may know, I teach a funky kind of yoga or movment practice, What is Buti yoga?
Buti is a fusion yoga class that weaves in cardio, strength, dance, functional movement, core spiraling and somatic shaking, through yoga poses. �We don’t stay still very long, and it is beat driven. It is HIIT style in that any repetitive motion only lasts about 30 seconds before moving on. �
During class we sweat, burn out different muscle groups, and stretch.
I offer a modification before the more advanced move, and you have the option to take Childs pose or any rest you need at any point. All love and no judgement, “take what you need and leave the rest”
�Buti is a Marathi word that means “the cure that has been hidden or kept secret. It's foundation is in finding something inside yourself that you didn’t know existed. Though the moves are different, you will find yourself inspired and amazed at what you are able to do.
The combination of all this gets you out of your head and into your body in the present moment. �Intentional Somatic shaking releases tension in the body, moves lactic acid, releases fascia, and resets your nervous system. ( this is why animals shake also)
