Please help me welcome Lisa Roth to our clinical team!

"I see therapy as a gateway to strengthening our authentic self through healing, learning, acceptance, and growth. It is often through our self-proclaimed imperfections that we find the greatest gifts, insights, and points of focus that help us understand and become clear about the path we are walking and the possibilities that are before us. We have all known suffering, loss, trauma, and despair. These experiences may shape us but they do not have to define us.

I am experienced with couples, adult, child, adolescent, and parent coaching. I have worked with clients to tackle issues stemming from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, chronic or life threatening illness, life transitions, relationship conflicts, perinatal/postpartum, ADHD, eating disorders, addictions and LBGTQ + Affirming."

Glenview Counseling Group was founded in 2012 and in the almost 12 years that we have been serving our community we have never made a public statement about any political, religious or social issue. Explicit in our ethical code of conduct is the need to "promote respect for human dignity and diversity." As such, Glenview Counseling Group has remained dedicated to working with our clients and meeting them where they are, no matter who they are.

However, as you can read in the open letter linked in this post, our hand has been forced into taking a position for the first (and hopefully last) time in our history. One of our clinicians was named online in a list of Zionist therapists who should not be referred to, and was accused by reference to her Zionism as upholding "white supremacist" values.

As stated in the open letter, we firmly reject the notion that Zionism is a white supremacy ideology and take very seriously the accusation that we would ever uphold such an abhorrent ideology as white supremacy as one of our values.
This slanderous attack is a reflection of the poster's world view, and not a reflection of our values.

If you wish to stand with us in raising our voices against this hatred, please read sign and share this open letter.
