Physical Therapy Month Spotlight: Anna Zahn, DPT, Lake Bluff 🌟

Ever since high school, Anna knew she wanted to work with kids! After shadowing pediatric PT, OT, and SLP sessions at a hospital, she fell in love with the field — watching children’s personalities shine through and helping them build the strength to reach new milestones. ✨

As Anna says, “Strength is the building block for everything. Without it, it’s harder to balance, sit for school, move with coordination, or stay active in the things we love. As pediatric physical therapists, we help children build a strong foundation for a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.” 💪

Outside of the clinic, Anna brings just as much energy and creativity to her hobbies — including acting in plays and musicals, creative writing, sword fighting, singing, volleyball, ice-skating, and even the occasional embroidery project!

We’re so grateful for the passion and care Anna brings to the NSPT team every day. 💙

🎪🎉 Happy 1-Year Anniversary, Elmhurst! 🎉🎪

It’s been one incredible year of growth, giggles, and goals met, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a carnival-themed party! 🎈

Our Elmhurst team went all out with face painting, popcorn making, ring toss, and even pie in the face (talk about taking team spirit to the next level!). The day was filled with laughter, connection, and celebration of everything our amazing kids, families, and clinicians have accomplished together this past year. 💙

Huge congratulations to Stephanie Velazquez, our Lead Assistant Clinical Coordinator in Naperville, for officially passing her BCBA exam! 🎉

Stephanie’s journey to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst has been filled with dedication, passion, and purpose. Originally dreaming of becoming a pediatrician, Stephanie discovered her love for ABA in 2022—and the rest is history! 💙

What she finds most fulfilling in her work are the small victories and ongoing progress her clients achieve. She’s passionate about supporting families and values collaborating closely with her fellow clinicians and RBTs to help every child succeed.

October is Physical Therapy Month, and today we’re spotlighting one of our incredible PTs — Elisa Kajiwara! 🌟

As a Physical Therapist at North Shore Pediatric Therapy, Elisa helps kids build strength, flexibility, and gross motor skills like walking, running, jumping, hopping, and ball skills — all while making therapy fun and engaging! 🎯💙

What Elisa loves most about being a PT at NSPT is “seeing how the development of gross motor skills leads to more active and engaging play in so many of the kids I work with.” 🧸✨

She’s always loved working with kids and had an interest in medicine — but after trying a physical therapy internship in high school, she discovered her true calling in helping children move, play, and grow with confidence.

When she’s not at our Glenview center, you can find Elisa playing video games, watching TV with her family, or rock climbing with friends. 🎮🧗‍♀️📺

We’re so grateful for Elisa’s passion and dedication — helping kids move with confidence, play with joy, and reach new milestones every day! 💙
