Almost no bone left at #11 and #12….the implants were practically floating.

Six months later? Solid, regenerated bone.

A joint effort with a big impact 💚

Our recent CE event brought clinicians together to dive into adult expansion and thoughtful MARPE case selection—from when to include it in treatment planning to how it supports skeletal expansion, airway health, and long-term stability.

We explored indications like non-growing patients with crowding, UARS patients who can’t tolerate MADs, Class II & III cases, TMJ considerations, and esthetic cases with underlying structural limitations—along with what MARPE is, how it works, and the importance of bone quality and palatal width.

What are bio-filler injections? (this patient had microneedling done prior to bio-filler injections)

Bio-filler injections using PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) involve using your own blood to enhance volume and rejuvenate the skin. Here’s how it typically works:
1. PRF Preparation: Platelet-Rich Fibrin is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood, which is then centrifuged to separate the platelets and fibrin from other blood components like red blood cells.
2. Injection Process: Once PRF is prepared, the different components of your own blood are mixed to make the bio-filler. It is then injected into targeted areas of the face (or other body parts) where volume is desired, such as the cheeks, chin, temples, or around the eyes.
3. Benefits: PRF injections are praised for their natural origin and ability to stimulate collagen production, promoting tissue regeneration, and improving skin texture and elasticity over time. This can lead to a more youthful appearance and smoother skin. Benefits also include but are not limited to – Enhanced volume, reduced wrinkles/fine lines, natural-looking results, non-surgical option, etc.
