There’s something special about the fundamentals—especially when they’re passed down from your father.
▪️
This might just look like an old-school moment of denture work, but for me, it’s full circle. I’m border molding a custom impression tray with compound—a technique my dad, taught me years ago. He passed five years ago, but his lessons continue to shape how I practice every single day.
▪️
It was through removable prosthodontics that I learned the foundation of smile design—understanding lip support, midline, phonetics, and the relationship between function and esthetics. Occlusion, vertical dimension, patient communication… it all started here.
▪️
There’s an art to getting it right—and an even deeper meaning when the person who taught you is the reason you’re holding the torch (and the flame).

This amazing young man was finishing braces and ready to say goodbye to the removable flipper he’d been wearing to cover up two missing teeth. He and his mom wanted a fuller, more natural smile that felt like him—something that would boost his confidence without being overdone for his age.

We used our digital technology to plan every detail—scanning his teeth, designing the new smile virtually, and creating a precise guide via 3D printing to bring it all to life.
▪️
We started with KÖR Whitening to brighten his smile. Then used direct custom bonded veneers to reshape his teeth. Finally, we created two Maryland bridges to replace the missing teeth—designed digitally and customized in our in-house lab to match perfectly.

From the early days of my career at Chicago Beautiful Smiles to now, Dr. Hijjawi has been one of those people who showed up with kindness, support, and wisdom—especially when I needed it most. She’s not just an incredible pediatric dentist (seriously, the families love her), she’s someone I’ve looked up to since day one navigating my new digs in the North Shore.

This weekend, he’s hitting the pavement for the North Shore Marathon with his son by his side! A true inspiration, he runs five times a week not just for the thrill, but for the health benefits that keep him feeling strong, energized, and ready to conquer anything.

When this amazing young woman walked into our office, she was almost finished her Invisalign journey. Her orthodontist referred her to us for the finishing touches.
▪️
Her goals? To finally love her smile. She wanted her side teeth to look fuller, smooth out the uneven edges on her front teeth, brighten her smile, and even out her gums that had always looked uneven.
▪️
We teamed up with her orthodontist to make sure her teeth were perfectly aligned. From there, we used KÖR Whitening, both in-office and at home, to bring out that beautiful, natural brightness she always wanted. Next, we carefully improved her front four teeth with direct resin bonding, blending everything perfectly so it looked like they were always meant to be that way. Finally, we did a laser gum lift to create balance and harmony across her smile.

The best part? This “After” photo was taken one year later, and her smile is still just as stunning as the day we finished. She told us she finally feels confident when she smiles, and her mom said it’s the happiest she’s ever seen her about her teeth. Moments like these are why we love what we do.
