Turner is our world, our light and our only child. Turner lives with a rare disease KAND, KIF1A associated Neurological Disorder, CP, Dystonia, quadriplegic spasticity, Seizure disorder and many others. Turner is the happiest Glenwood Springs teenager year old you will ever meet. He is also the only person that lives on the western slope of Colorado that lives with this rare genetic condition, It is caused by a mutation on his KIF1A gene. Turner has spastic paraplegia, dystonia, developmental delays and many others, he works 5 times harder than you doing everything that he can do. Turner has had 9 surgeries including spinal fusion in 2020, countless tests and procedures and takes medication daily. He is also the toughest kid you’ll ever meet. He is a child of God and Luke Bryan’s #1 fan. T loves music, cheetos and root beer, He uses a wheelchair, does not talk or walk or stand independently. Turner has 4 therapies a week, visits Children’s hospital in Denver at least every three months and depends on us for all his care. Turner’s purpose is to bring joy to everyone he meets and to raise awareness for disabilities. Despite all Turner has gone through and all the challenges he lives with, he is so incredibly happy. Turner attends Glenwood Springs Middle School. He loves his family, friends, teachers and the Colorado outdoors. We are so blessed that Turner picked us to be his parents. Matt and I could not love him more and want him to have the very best life possible. Turner's fundraiser is to send our mini van off to be converted to a wheelchair van. The van will be sent to Arizona to Vantage Mobility International where it will converted. His van needs to last us a very long time and will be life changing for our family. Turner is 65 lbs. now and transferring in and out of his seat in the van is getting difficult especially with all my surgeries from breast cancer. The wheelchair van conversion for our family will be life changing for vital appointments, therapies and being able to access our community more, this will give our family so much freedom. We are so very grateful! With Love, Jenni, Matt & Turner West
