We had a watercolor painting class this week and it was an amazing turnout! 🎨

Dottie did a wonderful job leading the class—her instructions were clear, she was patient, and she supported everyone with their questions and techniques. To say her cup is full and she is happy is an understatement. She has wanted to do this class for so long, and it was incredible to see it come to life.

GHV truly came together as a team to make this happen, and we’re excited to share that this will now be a monthly event!

It was such a special day here when our DON made a spur-of-the-moment decision to bring in baby chicks for a visit! 🐥 The moment they arrived, smiles lit up the room. Residents absolutely loved holding them, watching them, and talking about past memories of farm life and raising animals. The joy, laughter, and conversations that filled the cottage were truly heartwarming. It’s moments like these that remind us how the simplest things can bring the greatest happiness to our residents.

Glen Haven Village is hosting our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th at 1:00 PM! 🐣🌷
We are excited to welcome families and all the little ones for an afternoon of fun searching for Easter eggs. Some special prize eggs will be hidden, and when they’re found they can be brought to the prize table to choose a reward! 🧺🥚
Please come join us and let our residents enjoy watching the kids laugh, play, and hunt for eggs. It’s always a wonderful time for our community to come together.

We had a wonderful outing to the Midlands Humane Society, where residetns were able to spend time visiting with the animalsand learning more about the shelter. Smiles filled the room as everyone got the chance to pet and cuddle some of the cats and dogs, and it was heartwarming to see the joy the animals brought. The staff shared informationabout the shelters mission and the care they provide for the animals, which made the experience both fun and meaningful. It was a filled with love, laughter, and lots of wagging tails!!

We wrapped up our last Zoo trip of the season with plenty of smiles, laughter, and a few animal friends along the way! 🐧🦁🐒Residents enjoyed a beautiful day exploring the exhibits, taking in the fresh air, and sharing the outing together. It's always a special time making memories on these adventures, and this trip was the perfect way to close out the season. Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.

Cottage 138 had a blast at our Luau cookout on Friday August 29th!! 🌺🍍We enjoyed good food, great company, and plenty of island vibes. Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Labor Day Weekend!
