We’re so excited to welcome Ria to the Palo Verde Family Care team! 🎉

Ria is both a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). While continuing to work as a CNA, she’s now starting her journey as a Medical Assistant right here with us.

With her strong work ethic, compassionate care, and a clear passion for healthcare, Ria is already making a difference — and this is just the beginning! Her ultimate goal is to become a Physician Assistant, and we’re proud to be part of her journey.

🌟 A Season of Change at Our Practice 🌟

As many of you have seen, we’ve been introducing new faces to our team over the past few weeks. That’s because we are preparing for some bittersweet goodbyes.

💙 Casey, Delanie, and Fran—three of our amazing medical assistants—will soon be moving on from the practice. Each of these women has brought so much heart, skill, and compassion to our team and to the care of our patients.

✨ Casey has been the calm in the storm, always organized, dependable, and willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Her leadership and multitasking skills will be deeply missed.

✨ Delanie has been a light of positivity, with a kind heart and a gentle approach to patient care. Her warm energy has made a lasting impact on both staff and patients.

✨ Fran has been the steady rock of our back office, always dedicated and reliable. Her commitment to quality care and her no-nonsense attitude have helped keep everything running smoothly.

We are so thankful for the time we’ve had with them and wish them all the success and happiness in their next chapters. 💐

🧠💚 Did you know that about 7-8% of people will experience PTSD at some point in their lives? That’s nearly 1 in 13 of us!

PTSD, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a serious condition that can happen to anyone after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Common symptoms include flashbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety.

This month, let’s raise awareness and support those who are struggling. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help! 💪

🌟 Hey friends! Did you know June is all about wound healing awareness? 🤕 It's also HS Awareness Week, shining a light on Hidradenitis Suppurativa - a chronic condition that's no joke.

The good news? Our very own nurse practitioner Sue Robertson is a total wound care superhero. 💪 She's got years of experience helping patients manage tricky wounds and the HS flare-ups that come with them.

Fun fact: Around 1 in 100 people live with HS, but it often goes undiagnosed for years. That's a lot of folks dealing with painful, recurring abscesses and sinus tracts. 😖 But with the right treatment and support, many can get their symptoms under control.

🚨 Measles Alert in Arizona! 🚨

Hey everyone! Did you know that measles is one of the most contagious diseases out there? It can spread through the air and stay in the environment for up to two hours! 😲

Navajo County Public Health Services District has confirmed four cases of measles—the first in Arizona for 2025. All four individuals were unvaccinated and had recently traveled internationally. 🛫 Health teams are on it, working hard to track the source and keep our community safe!

If you or someone you know has been unvaccinated and might have been exposed, please stay alert for symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose, and that telltale rash. And don't hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider if you have concerns! 🩺💬
