Congratulations to LeeAnn Powers on being named this year’s recipient of the Kip Culver Memorial Award 💛

I have to admit, I had to do a little digging to remember exactly what the Kip Culver Award is and what it represents... I’ve been out of the local loop for a few years. 💫

What I learned is that it’s not just a recognition of community involvement... it’s given to those who have made *meaningful* lasting contributions to preserving and strengthening the Globe-Miami community 💪

LeeAnn’s preservation work and the impact she’s had through her leadership and involvement at Bullion Plaza Cultural Center (and more ~ already mentioned in the post) make her an incredibly fitting recipient. 🏆

We appreciate the time, effort, and care you’ve put into protecting and promoting Globe-Miami's history.
