Our 911 team in Dover braving the winter weather!
🚑❄️ Dover, We’re Here for You During the Snow Storm! ❄️🚑
The Dover 911 EMS Team is ready to respond to any emergencies throughout this snowy weather. Here are some tips to keep you and your loved ones safe from cold-related emergencies:
1. Dress in Layers - Wear insulated clothing, gloves, hats, and scarves to avoid frostbite.
2. Limit Time Outdoors - While we all enjoy the snow day, remember the less time spent exposed to the cold, the better. If you enjoy this winter wonderland with the kiddos, take breaks indoors and enjoy with a nice warm lunch.
3. Stay Dry - Wet clothing can increase your risk of hypothermia. Stay dry and change clothes if they get soaked.
4. Watch for Signs of Frostbite - Numbness, pale skin, or a “pins and needles” feeling? Get to a warmer place and cozy up near a safe heat source!
5. Know Hypothermia Symptoms - Confusion, slurred speech, or drowsiness? Seek help fast!
Stay warm, Dover!
