Hosted by the National Council for Behavioral Health and the Virginia Cooperative Extension , GMCC staff trained this week to become "mental health first-aiders". Team members from the Clinic, dental department, and administration all came together to learn how to identify people in crisis so we can help quickly and provide the best resources available for each patient.

GMCC will be CLOSED for medical, lab, and pharmacy services on Friday, August 29.

The dental clinic will be open on Friday.

GMCC will be fully closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day.

Well, we just wrapped up our 15th annual golf classic... and we're getting ready for more big fun for our cause.

We have a new team member at the Clinic-- meet our Special Events & Development Assistant, Kaylee Marceron.

Kaylee is a recent college graduate who grew up in Williamsburg and has returned to the community she loves. She'll be managing Clinic events throughout the year, from our recent golf tournament to the upcoming Oktoberfest and more.

Our 15th annual Golf Classic was Friday, August 8-- what a day! With beautiful weather, enthusiastic players, wonderful hosts at and tremendous support from our Community Health Partners, event sponsors, and generous donors, we raised funds for patient care at GMCC while having a great time.

Our Story

We are committed to everyone from Gloucester and Mathews Counties having access to basic healthcare and patient education.

The Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic was founded in 1998 by a group of parishioners from Abingdon Episcopal Church who were concerned about Gloucester & Mathews residents without insurance and unable to afford medical treatment or medications. Initially located in Hayes through operating space provided by Riverside Health System, we moved into our current facility in 2014. We have expanded from serving just over 100 patients in our first year to now over 900 patients annually.
