Good Monday morning, December 15, 2025 for those of you who may be interested and or have the opportunity today at 3:30 in the afternoon in the old historic courthouse contained in the courthouse Circle in Historic Gloucester Courthouse, Virginia is the swearing in ceremony for the new elected board of supervisors members and school board members specifically Joe Leming, Nick Bonneville, Shannon Hanson for the Board of Supervisors and Anita Parker, and Nicole McPherson for the School Board. The ceremony is opened to the public and I’m sure myself and the other successful candidates would appreciate all the public support.

Please join me following the ceremony at Porters on Main for a celebration with drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE TOMORROW
No matter what political party you align with or if you identify as "independent" - Please, Please come out and vote tomorrow. Our electoral process is really only protected when every one comes out to vote.
Typically, in a Presidential Election Year about 50% of eligible voters cast their vote. In an "off" year election (like tomorrow) often that number is sometimes as low as 30%.
It is in these "lower" turn out elections that sometimes the "will of the people" is not heard and a small number of votes can influence the outcome.
As Americans we must believe that our individual votes really do count. in fact, many races are often either won or lost by a handful of votes.
So, Please take time out of your day tomorrow to cast your vote.
I would love to see a record number of people turn out and vote in Gloucester.
We have to believe in the increment.

Edgehill Town Center Paving and Striping Schedule

Courthouse Family Medicine has made the decision to close our office Tuesday, October 21st for the safety of our Patients and Staff while Edgehill Town Center parking lot is being Paved and Striping.

This decision has been made with caution to comply with Tom’s Paving and Sealing Company’s rules:
• All cars must be removed from the work area by 7am. Cars left within the work areas will be towed at the owner’s expense or you may be charged a mobilization fee with the work rescheduled.
• When the Contractor is on site, all non-employees are prohibited from being closer than 60 feet from the work area.
• Do not move cones or caution tape that has been set up by the Contractor. This is for everyone’s safety.
• Contractors will NOT be liable for damage caused by negligence of others.
Monday October 20th, we ask our patients to enter the parking lot with caution as the Paving company will be on site doing prep work. We will experience limited parking throughout the day.

Please see the work schedule below along with the map:
Monday October 20th - Work will begin at 7 am
• Prep work for both Section 1& 2. Traffic will be allowed access; parking will be limited to the areas NOT being worked on. Cones will be used to define the work areas.
Tuesday October 21st - Work will begin at 7 am
• Courthouse Family Medicine Closed
• Paving Section 1 (Red)
Wednesday October 22nd - Work will begin at 7am
• Paving Section 2 (Yellow)
• Please enter the parking lot closest to Vashti’s Jewelers. The area that was paved on Tuesday should be available for patient parking. Please enter with caution as the paving company will be on site.

Our outstanding staff here at Courthouse Family Medicine are receiving calls questioning, if I am elected to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors representing the Petsworth District - will I then retire from the practice of medicine?

Answer: No.

In the distant past, I was elected to the Prince George County Board of Supervisors - 1st in a special election in 2003 and then re-elected to a full term in 2004. All the while continuing my full-time practice of medicine.

If you live in and vote in the Petsworth District of Gloucester County - I am asking for your vote. Early voting started Friday September 19. As of yesterday afternoon more than 800 citizens had cast their vote early. The General Election is Tuesday, November 4th.
