If you’re wondering “what’s next?” for your young adult, you’re not alone.

Yesterday on WTEN, we shared a story that so many families relate to.

Sam earned his bachelor’s degree through Adelphi’s Bridges program, but still needed support to take the next step. At Transitions, he built the confidence, skills, and direction to move forward, and is now heading to graduate school at the University at Albany.

Join Dr. Priya Winston and Dr. Winnie Hasheela at the Autism Expo this Sunday to learn what truly makes a difference during this transition to college, careers, and independence.

Rocking National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in style! 🎸🔥

Our community came together with The Arc Lexington for an unforgettable Rock for Abilities on Friday, celebrating inclusion, ability, and talent.

The stage was electric as Flame teamed up with the Gloversville High School Choir, getting the crowd on their feet and filling the room with energy, music, and connection. 🎶✨

We were also joined by Miss Finger Lakes Teen, Lucille Esler, who shared an important message about acceptance and advocacy for those with autism and other disabilities.

"Because when we normalize understanding, we create a world where individuals with autism are recognized not for their differences, but for their strengths, their potential, and their incredible value."

Events like this remind us of the impact we can make when we come together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night so meaningful.

✨ Let’s hear it for Lewis! ✨

For the past four years, Lewis has been dedicated to coaching hockey, traveling to Rochester and Buffalo for tournaments and showing up to help his team grow, prepare, and succeed. 🏒💪
And that’s not all — Lewis has also been committed to softball for five years, putting in the work during weekly practices. That dedication is paying off in a big way. This season, Lewis is heading to the state tournament and has earned a spot at the national tournament in Minnesota!
Lewis will be one of eight athletes representing Special Olympics. 🙌
Lewis, thank you for inspiring those around you, leading with courage, and showing us all what’s possible when we step outside our comfort zone. We are so proud of you! 👏
