A blood moon is coming!

On the night of March 2–3, our planet will move precisely between the Sun and the Full Worm Moon, casting its shadow across the lunar surface and transforming it into a haunting shade of deep red. 🌑🔴

This is a total lunar eclipse—and the last one the world will see until 2029.

Totality will last about 58 minutes, while the entire eclipse will unfold over more than 5 hours. No telescopes or special equipment are needed—just step outside with your eyes and a clear view of the sky.

🌏 Best visibility: Western North America (predawn hours), East Asia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand (evening skies). The Pacific region will enjoy the most complete view.

🌎 North & Central America: Look toward the western horizon as the Moon sets in the early morning hours.

🌏 Asia & Australia: Look to the eastern sky after moonrise, where the eclipse will progress during the evening.

⚠️ Not visible from Europe or Africa.

During totality, the Moon will glow softly among the stars of Leo, close to the brilliant star Regulus, creating a breathtaking scene painted in the deepest red the night sky can offer.
