It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do as a memorial piece for my horse. Doing the typical mane/tail braided stuff sounded so cliché after having him almost 25 years because I already have so many pieces like that I have acquired ....keychains, jewelry, you name it. And then The Mane Stitch came to mind. I have had this done for some people in the past and it's something I have yet to do for myself so I reached out to her. Sent photos and she came up with a stuffed version of my horse. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of my braided pieces that I have created or commissioned others to create, I just wanted something different. Check out these changes! He doesn’t look so “compact“ any more and he is more relaxed. Excuse his facial expression in the second photo. In the first photo he was excited over “cookies” afterwards and in the second photo, he was told he had to have his photo first and would have to wait on the cookies 😂

** Not only is he getting massages, he is also having chiropractic work done as well.

I love working on wounds! The progress is always fun to follow. 22 days and we are almost healed. The initial wound was almost 5 inches long. I had to shave the hair away to get a better view of what I was working with. The angles of the picture don’t actually show how long the wound was as it wrapped around under his jaw. Today was day 22!

Red lights are my go to for speeding up the healing on this project… my yearling decided to get into things. I posted the Day 1/Day 4 comparison in the comments. Warning: It isn’t the prettiest wound…if you can’t handle the sight of wounds don’t look thru the comments.

I love using my red lights! I never leave home without them. These 2 Pyrenees were spayed and my red lights were my go to. If you are interested in purchasing these lights, I have tagged the page in the post or you can reach out to me for more info… I highly recommend them. I have used them on myself, my animals and I always have them on hand to use on clients animals during or after a session. I have used them for not only accupoint stimulation during or after massage, I have used them for wound care, fractures, bruises, burns, etc. AAH Light

I love working on yearlings and being a part of their growth process. Their bodies are always changing and massage helps keep things going smoothly. I would rather be proactive than reactive. These photos were taken after each session.
