Sometimes patients come to me with various symptoms that they've been experiencing--possibly for years--but their doctors have never been able to identify what is causing them.
In my experience, I've often found that the solution may be fairly simple: identify certain foods that may be causing the symptoms and remove them from the diet. Patients are often amazed at the results.
What I'm talking about here is food sensitivities.
A food sensitivity is different from a food allergy. An allergy usually results in a relatively quick and apparent reaction to contact with a certain food. With a food sensitivity, the reaction is often delayed and cumulative, and resulting symptoms may manifest as skin rash, joint aches and pains, sinusitis, asthma, insomnia, headaches, and digestive disorders producing bloating, gas, and poor food absorption.
For more information about food sensitivity and tests we can run to identify them, check out the articles and videos in the "Food Sensitivities" section of our website.
