You can acknowledge what you’re struggling with without letting it define your entire story.

That might sound small, but it matters.

There’s a difference between:
“I’m going through a hard time”
and
“This is all I’ll ever be.”

Our newest Birch blog explores how separating identity from symptoms can create more room for hope, support, and healing:

As Memorial Day weekend begins, we are reminded how important connection, rest, and community can be.

Whether this weekend is full of family gatherings, quiet moments, outdoor time, or simply catching your breath after a busy season, we hope you are able to make space for what helps you feel grounded.

Wishing you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend from all of us at Birch.

Burnout does not always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Being tired all the time
• Feeling mentally checked out
• Snapping more easily
• Getting through the day, but barely having energy left afterward

A lot of people keep telling themselves to push through because they are still functioning.

But you do not have to wait until things completely fall apart to talk to someone.

Our walk-in counseling clinic is here for those moments when stress, burnout, or life just starts feeling heavier than usual.

Sometimes, even one conversation can help you feel less alone. 💚

Online mental health conversations have helped many people feel less alone.

But sometimes those conversations can also make it easy to feel defined by what you’re struggling with.

We are more than our hardest moments.
More than stress.
More than symptoms.

A recent Birch blog talks about the importance of separating who we are from what we may be experiencing:

There is space for support, healing, and growth without letting struggles become your entire identity. 💚

We are living in a time where people feel expected to be constantly reachable.

Texts.
Emails.
Notifications.
Updates.
Requests.

Over time, that constant availability can make it hard for the nervous system to fully rest.

You do not have to respond immediately to everything to be a caring person.

It is okay to create a little more space for yourself sometimes. 💚

Only you can define what a “good day” looks like to you.

Mental Health America’s 2026 Action Guide is a great place to start figuring it out.

You are not your symptoms.

Not your stress.
Not your anxiety.
Not your hardest season.

Sometimes when we’ve been struggling for a long time, it can start to feel like those experiences define us.

But there’s an important difference between:
“I’m experiencing anxiety”
and
“This is who I am.”

We talked more about this in our newest Birch blog:

Whatever you’re carrying right now, it is not the full story of who you are. 💚

Social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram have exploded with conversations about mental health. Hashtags related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other conditions rack up billions of views. While this openness has helped reduce stigma and encouraged many to seek support, a troubling trend ha

Minnesota spring has been all over the place lately. ☀️🌧️

Warm and sunny one day.
Cold and cloudy the next.

Sometimes our energy feels the same way.

A lot of people expect to feel instantly better this time of year, but stress and exhaustion do not always disappear with the snow.

If you are still feeling tired, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained lately, you are not alone.

Give yourself a little patience during the transition. 💚

Feeling worn out but not sure why?

Sometimes burnout isn't obvious. It's not always a breaking point or crisis moment. It can be the slow, quiet kind of exhaustion that simply builds up over time.

We recently shared a blog on the topic:
Quiet Burnout: The Silent Exhaustion No One Sees

If you've been feeling more tired, disconnected, or just not like yourself, this might resonate.

And if it does, talking to someone can help. You don't have to figure it out alone.
