The power of Reflexology!

What excited lead investigator Dr. Stefan Posse from results of the research project Neural Pathways of Applied Reflexology? Three things: (1) It was consistency, the consistency of brain areas activated during brain scanning as foot reflexology was applied participants. Foot reflexology activated the same brain areas for participants in each group, healthy participants and stroke participants. (2) Foot reflexology created strong activation in the areas of the brain activated and (3) There was more activation than anticipated. As noted by Dr. Posse: “… the consistency of the findings across subjects are great. I was amazed to see the strength of these signals. And so there was apparently more a lot more than we thought.”
