Summer semester at University of Colorado PT school is underway! This year and .dpt are teaching a new elective course (with the fabulous ) for the 3rd year students all about treating runners. Let’s bring some more PTs into the world that never say ‘just don’t run so much’ (one of the most lazy non-answers in health care) and actually facilitate your recovery, development, and performance!

Nothing makes you reflect on current research and clinical practice quite like having to teach it to others.

Front Range Dirt is officially live! If you missed the print version you can find on online version at golden-endurance.com/frd. Here you can also submit articles for us to publish in future editions. Summer Issue submission deadline is April 30th!

Please consider writing an article for this publication. The cost is free and your work will be dispersed across the Denver area. Topics to write about include, but are not limited to, running stories, training, featured athletes, local routes, featured organizations, opinions, race reports, photos and photo essays.

It’s been quite the last couple of weeks as ultra season really gets going and GE athletes have been out sending it…

💥 and Quentin S flew at the Desert Rats 50 and 100k’s on their ways to longer efforts later this year
💥 set a new personal record at the 24 hour distance, running 137 miles and winning the event
💥Erica Patrick completed her third 100 mile race at the Zion 100
💥 .donovan.dpt beat his own course record at Tour De Dodge 50k by 18 minutes!
💥 crushed her 50k PR and placed 6th at the Mad City 50k, which was this year’s USATF 50k National Championships
💥 and coach raced the Gorge Waterfalls 100k, with Ellen placing 13th in a stacked field for her first go at the distance

got to enjoy ALL the green opening up the trail racing season at The Big Alta 50k. A 50k with >7k of climbing is no small challenge coming out of winter and Vail was able to put his climbing legs to the test 👏 That’s a whole lot of fitness to be able to build off of for this year!

Join us tomorrow night as we roll out a new magazine.

Front Range Dirt is a grassroots effort to highlight different aspects of running in the Front Range. We are rolling out this magazine at BPRunCo at 6 p.m. on March 27th. That's a Thursday night at BP's local run club.

Bring your running shoes because there will be about a 5K run to follow.

This magazine will be available in print and online. And we will be looking for contributing authors!

To close out the re-introductions- I’m Sammie Lewis, the final co-founder, physical therapist, and coach of Golden Endurance. And to people who don’t know my backstory- it appears like I’m a chronically injured runner, despite my professional expertise. Though I generally would identify as an ultrarunner, I haven’t actually ran an ultra in almost 3 years. But I haven’t been “injured” in the typical sense of the word, but rather dealing with multiple autoimmune disorders that drastically affect my ability to run, race, and more. We are rolling out a new magazine!

Front Range Dirt is a grassroots effort to highlight different aspects of running in the Front Range. We are rolling out this magazine at BPRunCo at 6 p.m. on March 27th. That's a Thursday night at BP's local run club.

Delayed shoutout to some of the GE athletes who have raced the last two weekends!

🏃 .alan put his winter of consistent strength work and flatter running to work, taking home the win at the Long Play 50k in Florida
🏃🏼‍♀️ finished up her progressive winter run series, culminating in her first 50 miler as Mesquite Canyon. Meg balanced her crazy work schedule with patiently increasing mileage all winter to meet her ultimate goal.
🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃 and coaches and all hopped into the Run Through Time races for some local fun with Ellen getting 4th in the marathon and Sammie 2nd in the half.

And 2025 is just getting started!

Congrats to Golden Endurance team Johna Iannitto and Gabe Dorn .dpt for their completion of the Power of Four Skimo race. Johna and Gabe spent a great blue bird day trekking across the Aspen-Snowmass ski hills and got some serious vert in the process!
