Here's what a parent had to say about Kim's class....

“Kim, we can't thank you enough. This time with you was transformative. I feel so empowered and equipped to be a better parent and to support our son, and all because of YOU! You are so incredibly wise, encouraging, knowledgeable and a brilliant teacher. It's one thing to know all this info (which is hard in and of itself), and another to be able to effectively communicate and teach it-- and you are so gifted at both! Thank you so much for spending this time with us. It is the absolute best thing we've done for our son and ourselves since starting this whole journey. I think you've forever helped and changed and maybe even saved our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”--LR

If you want to help someone solve a problem, you have to first understand it. Taking time to listen to someone else’s perspective reassures them that you value their concerns. If someone feels more understood, they feel calmer, allowing them to think clearly, and engage in conversations with you.

Day One of CHADD’s virtual conference is a wrap!

I loved learning more about something close to my heart, the power of exercise on the brain. Even a small amount of it will reduce symptoms of ADHD and optimize cognitive function!

“ We’re talking about stimulating the part of the brain that helps with focus, concentration, filtering out background noises, staying on task. That part of the brain does it’s job best when it’s turned on and engaged. Exercise does the same thing.”

As parents, it's natural to want the best for our kids and to see them flourish. Especially when it comes to the classroom.
