Many times when I’m working with neurodiverse individuals, there is this pull that they need to “fit in” with neurotypical people. But I think that’s the wrong answer. There are so many different flavors of what neurodiversity means, so how could we say that there is only one right way to engage in this world? It might be more beneficial to have neurotypical people consider meeting neurodiversity in the middle.

When Plans Shift, and It’s Just Right

Sometimes, the best sessions are the ones that don’t go as planned. Today was supposed to be one thing, but it became another—a pause, a breath, a moment of connection. A nature mandala, carefully arranged in a patch of grass in a parking lot, became the session itself.

Because sometimes, what we really need isn’t more strategies or words. Sometimes, we just need to be present, to create, to feel connected—to ourselves, to each other, to something bigger.

Plans change. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need.
