✨ Creating for a Cause ✨

Our tie-dye t-shirt activity for the Alzheimer’s Association was a huge hit! 💜 Our Memory Care residents had an amazing time bringing out their creativity, and the results were absolutely fabulous. Each colorful shirt was made with love and purpose, supporting a cause close to our hearts. 💜👕

At Golden Pond, we believe in making every moment meaningful — today, we not only had fun, but we also made a difference. 🌈💜

🌺🌴 Aloha from Golden Pond! 🌴🌺

Today we brought the spirit of Hawaii right to our community with a festive Luau Celebration! 🌞 Residents were all smiles as they enjoyed the beauty of graceful Hula dancers and the uplifting sounds of live music by Prestige. 🎶💃

The room was filled with laughter, joy, and the warmth of togetherness as our residents embraced the island vibes. From dancing along to clapping with the beat, everyone had a truly wonderful time!

Mahalo to all who joined us in making this day so special — it was a celebration of life, friendship, and happiness here at Golden Pond Retirement Community. 🌸✨

From crisp peppers and sweet corn to juicy tomatoes, our community garden is bursting with fresh summer goodness. And just look at our stunning sunflowers standing tall and proud—they brighten every corner of our space! 🌞✨

There’s something so special about gathering together, getting our hands in the soil, and watching the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor come to life. 💚

• Aug 29 – Luau Happy Hour 🌺
3:00 PM – Hula dancers bring the tropics to Golden
4:00 PM – Live music by Prestige caps off the celebration

Today was a roaring success as our amazing residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to the zoo! 🐘🦒🦓 From watching the playful monkeys swing through the trees to marveling at the majestic lions soaking up the sun, every moment was filled with joy, laughter, and curiosity.

The weather was perfect, the animals were active, and the smiles were contagious. 🌞❤️ It was a beautiful reminder of the simple joys of nature and spending time together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this outing possible — days like this are what memories are made of! 📸🐾

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication have shaped the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

As we gather with family, friends, and community, may we hold space in our hearts for the fallen, and for those who still carry the weight of their loss.

To our veterans and their families: we see you, we honor you, and we thank you.

Let this day be not only one of remembrance but of gratitude for lives lived with valor and for the legacy of freedom they’ve left behind.

🦘 BABY KANGAROOS BRING JOY TO GOLDEN POND! 🦘

Our community was filled with smiles and wonder during a special visit from adorable baby kangaroos last month! Residents and families enjoyed this unique opportunity to interact with these gentle, affectionate creatures.

Special thanks to our Executive Director Leigh for arranging this magical experience, and to Keaton Crawford, founder of the kangaroo ranch https://thekangarooranch.com/ , for sharing these special animals with us.

These heartwarming moments are what make Golden Pond a truly special place to call home. Stay tuned for more unique experiences coming soon!

This month is packed with activities for our vibrant community:

- Women's Lunch (Mar 13) - An afternoon of delicious food and wonderful company

- Season's Buffet & Lodge Casino Trip (Mar 19) - Try your luck and enjoy a fantastic meal!

- NEW! Bloom & Grow Class (Mar 20) - Join our creative new program for personal growth and fun

Plus, we're celebrating March birthdays and National Nutrition Month with healthy, delicious options in our dining room.

Weekly outings continue with Monday lunch trips to Olive Garden, Heaven Dragon, Old Spaghetti Factory, Outback Steakhouse, and Rib City. Wednesday shopping adventures include Hobby Lobby, Goodwill, and Walmart Evergreen.

Congratulations to David Slattery, our Employee of the Month, whose energy and dedication in our Activities Department has made such a positive impact!
