Step into the golden era of Italian racing. This month, we’re featuring a true masterpiece of mid-century engineering and style: the MV Agusta 175 CSS.

Known affectionately by enthusiasts as the “Disco Volante” (Flying Saucer), this bike earned its nickname from the iconic, futuristic wrap-around shape of its fuel tank. But it wasn’t just built for looks—the CSS was a street-legal racer that dominated its class with agility and grit.

Designed by sculptor Donnino Rumi, the 1955 Moto Rumi Junior Corse is a 125cc horizontal-twin masterpiece. A rare "Golden Age" icon with only ~300 produced, it famously won the 1954 Italian National Championship and multiple Bol d'Or 24-hour endurance races.

It is the featured "Motorcycle of the Month" at Gallery Vitruvius, an office and testament to the sophisticated, grid-independent living championed by Vitruvius Properties.
