Hello, friends!

The 2025 Goldendale Farmers Market Holiday Bazaar is set for Saturday, December 13th, from 9am-3pm at the Goldendale Grange.

Here is a list of hand crafted soap I will have available at the Bazaar this year. Each bar is 3.5-4 oz, and are $6 a bar. New scents for this year are marked with a *.

For my all natural line of soap, I use essential oils for the scent. For colorants, I use various clays, spices, and earth materials. I always use each EO at the regulated safe usage rate, and am more than happy to provide the Safety Data Sheet on any oil requested. The essential oils I buy are ECOCERT verified.

Cedarwood
Cinnamon Oatmeal
Coffee-Clove
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus pumice hand and foot scrub bars
*Frankincense
Keylime
Lemon
Lemongrass
Oatmeal Lavender
Oatmeal Orange
Patchouli
Peppermint
Pine
Plain Oatmeal
Spearmint

For those not as strict on a natural soap, I have a fragrance oil line. I use fun fragrance oils for the scent, and vibrant colored micas for the colorants. The fragrance oils I buy are free of Paraben, Phthalate, Lyral, and Lilial. I always use each FO at the regulated safe usage rate, and am more than happy to provide the Safety Data Sheet on any oil requested.

*Black Hemlock
*Christmas Cabin
*Coconut Cream
*Fruit Loops
Green Tea & Pear
Hawaiian Plumeria
*Love Spell
Magnolia
Mango Papaya
Maple Sugar
Midnight Jasmine
Nag Champa (smells like incense)
Oak Barrel Cider
Red Currant & Thyme
Urban Beat (smells like men's cologne)
*Winter Shore

This year I have a few new products to share.

I am excited to offer soap on a rope! Scents available are Black Hemlock, Cedarwood, Cinnamon Oatmeal, Eucalyptus, and Oatmeal Orange. These bars are larger than the normal bar, at 6-6.5oz, and are priced at $9.

I also have travel soap tins! These tins will be filled with roughly 1oz (21 pieces) of unscented heart shaped single use soaps. These will be perfect for any time on the go, especially for those times the rest stop bathroom is all out of soap, or for camping! Keep in your car and use one as needed. Tins are $5.

I have fun "peppermint bark" shaped peppermint soap I will have in a decorative bag. You will get 3 pieces, equaling approx. 3.5oz. Bags will be $6

I plan to offer coffee scrubs this year, in a few different scents. Those will be made fresh and posted closer to the Bazaar. I will also have bundled soap ends, and some hand painted signs.

I am super excited! Get those wish lists ready, and be sure to come see us at the Bazaar to get stocked up on your favorite soaps!

As always, thank you to everyone for your continued love and support. No pre-bazaar sales, please. Message with any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you!

All our love,
Rebecca & Samuel Hauck

Do you like self motivation and positive affirmations? Do you love humor and sarcasm? Do you need some new sh*t to decorate your bathroom walls and counters? Well, I am SO excited to show you what I've been feverishly working on these past two months!

Life has been hard the past two years going through my breast cancer journey and recovery. I have relied a lot on humor to see me through my worst days. I took a long break from painting, not feeling very motivated or inspired. But then I ordered this funny sarcastic sticker off of Etsy for my water bottle, that makes me laugh every time I read it, and inspiration finally hit. I wanted to paint it. And I wanted to paint other funny, sarcastic sh*t too. And so I began working on my bathroom humor and sarcastic positive affirmations series. I hope they will give you a laugh. I laughed the whole time I was painting, and that was SO good for my soul. 🤣

All framed pieces are lovingly hand painted by myself. Each piece comes ready to hang, and the framing allows them to sit on a shelf or counter as well. So you have options! $30 each.

And new this year, framed "Forgot Your Phone?" wordsearches, and framed "Goat Butt" photos! They are my goats too, lol. Sizes range from 4x6 up to 8x10 and come in a variety of frame choices. All frames come ready to hang, and most can also be set on a shelf or counter. 4x6-$6, 5x7-$8, 8x10-$10.

As a reminder, Sammy and I will be at the Goldendale Farmers Market Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 14th. The Bazaar will be held at the Goldendale Grange from 9-3. We will have my handcrafted soap, hand painted signs, and framed pieces all ready for you to wrap up your holiday shopping!

***I AM accepting pre-sales on hand painted signs and framed pieces before the Bazaar. If you see something you like, you better sn**ch it up now. I will hold it for you and you can pick it up at the Bazaar.***

All our love,
Rebecca & Samuel Hauck

Hello, friends!

It sure has been a long while. I wanted to share some exciting news with you all, but first a long overdue update. So I will be doing two posts today. This is the first. Look for the second one with the exciting news next!

If you all recall, back in January I wrote that I was going to be taking the year off due to a breast cancer diagnosis. This past year has absolutely been the hardest of my entire life.

I had surgery to place my chemo port in my chest on February 7th. On February 12th, so I could feel some sense of control, I cut my hair off. I couldn't stand the thought of long clumps falling out due to chemo. I started chemotherapy on February 20th. I went every 3 weeks, for a total of 6 rounds. I got to ring the bell to celebrate my last one on June 5th. Chemo nearly did me in. I have never been so sick, and it was the most difficult experience I ever had to live through. But I made it. On July 13th, the day before my 37th birthday, I had a unilateral mastectomy with immediate breast implant reconstruction. I am still healing. I started targeted immunotherapy infusions back in September. I will go every 3 weeks, for a total of 14 rounds. I will not be done with those until June of next year. Sometime in the new year I am to start on a hormone blocking pill. I am to be on that for 10 years. I have decided to give it a go, but if it negatively impacts my quality of life too much, I will decline to continue to take it. I recently saw a naturopathic oncologist who I am working with to boost my immune system and learn ways to better support my body post treatment moving forward.

I'm hanging in there. I know the worst is behind me. I've tackled the hardest part of treatment and have survived. Still, chemo took a toll on my body, and I continue to struggle every day with lasting side effects. I never know from day to day how I'm going to feel. And that is just the physical aspect. Mentally and emotionally I struggle as well. There is not a part of my life breast cancer hasn't touched. But I am determined to continue on and have this experience help shape me into a better human being.

I have been SO lucky to have received tons of love and support from my family, friends, and community. I couldn't have survived this if not for the continued support.

I appreciate the kindness of those who have reached out to me at some point over this past year. I don't know what the future holds for Goldendale Country Bumpkins, but I do hope to continue to soap and craft periodically and to share that with you all when I do.

Now, a few photos of my journey thus far.

All my love,
Rebecca

Hello, friends! Before I sign off of Country Bumpkins for a while, I wanted to make a special post about the last set of custom order signs I was commissioned to paint. I have a friend who is opening up her own counseling and mental health practice right here in Goldendale, and she asked me to paint her some signs to go in her waiting room. This was a large task for me, but I was excited to take it on! I feel proud of the work I did, and I am incredibly thankful I was able to get them completed for her before breast cancer sees me taking a break. I believe they turned out amazing, and I can't wait to see them hanging up in her practice! How fortunate Goldendale will be to have this new mental health establishment in our town.

I want to thank everyone who has ever asked me to custom paint a sign for them. I always tried my best to see your vision and bring it to life. Being able to paint, even silly little signs, has brought so much joy to my life over the years. I am truly grateful.

All my love,
Rebecca

Hello, friends!

I wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a step back from Goldendale Country Bumpkins this year. I am embarking on a breast cancer journey and have decided I need a break from painting and soaping. If at any point in time this year I have the energy and desire to soap, I will most definitely post them here for sale!

I want to thank you all for your love and support over the years. I have had so much fun taking on your painted custom orders and providing you all with my homemade soap. Doing so has made me immeasurably happy! I am looking forward to some rest during this difficult time period in my life and hope to one day share the news with you all that I am cancer free!

All my love,
Rebecca Hauck
