Tina Peters: 9 Years in Prison for Exposing Election Fraud – Political Prisoner

Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk in Colorado and a vocal advocate for election integrity, became a target after she backed up voting system files before a mandated software upgrade in 2021. Upon comparing pre- and post-upgrade data, she uncovered discrepancies that pointed to vulnerabilities in the election equipment. Rather than being hailed as a whistleblower, Peters faced aggressive prosecution, culminating in her August 2024 conviction on multiple felony charges related to unauthorized access to election machines. In October 2024, she was sentenced to nine years in prison—a harsh penalty that supporters argue was politically motivated to silence her claims about potential election irregularities.

Despite no prior criminal record—not even a parking ticket—and her status as a Gold Star Mom who lost a son in service, Peters remains incarcerated in a Colorado state facility as of late December 2025. President Trump issued a pardon in early December 2025, describing her as a "Patriot who simply wanted to make sure that our Elections were Fair and Honest," yet Colorado officials maintain it has no effect on state convictions. Sworn testimony filed in her federal case (September 2025) from a former Venezuelan election official supports her assertions, linking software vulnerabilities to foreign rigging capabilities and arguing there was never legal justification for her imprisonment without bond.

Compounding the injustice, Big Tech censorship continues to muzzle her voice even from behind bars. On Christmas Day 2025, while Peters spent the holiday alone in her cell, Google censored a social media post highlighting her plight and contrasting it with leniency shown to convicted criminals. This suppression echoes the broader effort to bury her story, as she endures harsh prison conditions and separation from family for daring to question the security of American elections. Tina Peters' case stands as a stark warning: challenge the system, and the system will crush you.

This compounding injustice not only muzzles her voice but warns all Americans: challenge election irregularities, and face the full wrath of a corrupt establishment. Congress must act now to override this defiance and secure her freedom.

I urge you to launch immediate investigations, pass legislation protecting election whistleblowers, and hold accountable those who abused their power to prosecute and imprison Peters. Demand her release, honor the presidential pardon, and prosecute the real criminals behind this travesty. The integrity of our republic hangs in the balance; failure to intervene will embolden further suppression of truth-seekers. Act decisively for justice and the American people.

Dr. Renu J Seth, MD, is an Internist (Primary Care), specializing in Immunology/Allergy, and Acupuncture. She has 30+ years of experience in Academic Medicine and Private Practice. She trained at Eastern VA Medical School, Medical University of South Carolina and Cleveland Clinic.

Prior to starting her private practice in New York, Dr. Seth was a Professor at University of Illinois in Medicine and Laboratory Medicine; and was on the faculty at SUNY, Binghamton and University of Syracuse Medical School. She was, Director of Immunology at United Health Services, Binghamton, NY.

She moved to North Carolina and worked first at Goshen Medical Center and then at the Veterans Clinic both in Goldsboro.
