Hackers stole income, immigration, and tax data in a Healthcare.gov breach, U.S. government confirms.
In the never-ending chase for your Personal Identifiable Information or "PII", it seems that hackers were able to access the accounts of brokers and agents that helped American's sign up for Obama Care.
According to the letter mailed out to the affected Americans, the (CMS) or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services detailed what data was stolen.
1. Name, date of birth, address, s*x, and the last four digits of the Social Security number
2. Other information provided on the application, including expected income, tax filing status, family relationships, whether the applicant is a citizen or an immigrant, immigration document types and numbers, employer name, whether the applicant was pregnant, and whether the applicant already had health insurance
Stealing data is BIG Business. Think of your identity as DNA.
1. Your name a one piece of DNA
2. Your date of birth is another piece of DNA
3. Your address is another piece of DNA
4. Your social security is another piece of DNA
Before you know it, cyber thieves have enough of your "DNA" to clone you. They either sell this completed DNA set to an illegal alien "that assumes your identity" that can now obtain a real drivers license, social security card, and even a passport.
