Freezing Temperatures Are Here!
Let’s protect our homes and avoid the hassle of frozen pipes this winter by keeping a slow, small drip of 10 drops per minute!

Why Let Faucets Drip?
• Prevents Freezing: Moving water is less likely to freeze.
• Relieves Pressure: Reduces the risk of pipes bursting due to expanding frozen water.
• Saves Money: Avoid costly repairs by taking this small precaution.

Additional Tips for Pipe Protection:
• Insulate Pipes: Wrap exposed pipes in unheated areas to keep them warm.
• Open Cabinet Doors: Allow warm air to circulate pipes inside cabinets.
• Maintain Heat: Keep your thermostat at least 55°F, even if you're away.
• Disconnect Outdoor Hoses: Drain and store them to prevent damage to exterior pipes.

These simple steps help keep your home safe and your pipes running smoothly.
Stay warm and prepared, West Bank!

Ascension Parish launches website to aid in storm debris pick-up efforts

The Parish’s administration has put together a website for you to register your debris, if bags are used, they must be clear.

Please visit this website or scan the QR code to register your vegetation and/or construction debris.

If using desktop, please scan the QR code below.

If residents have questions or comments, they are encouraged to contact our Citizen Service Center at (225) 450-1200.

President Cointment stated, “I can't tell you how proud I am of our citizen's response to Hurricane Francine. I will ensure this debris pick-up continues until everyone in this Parish has their debris removed.”

This process can take several weeks; during this time, we will keep the two drop-off locations open from dawn until dusk:

• Lamar-Dixon Expo Center (Ashland Rd entrance)
• LaLa Regira Baseball Complex in Donaldsonville
