Personal Interests
Beyond her professional calling, Chatara is a proud aunt to eight nieces. While she does not have pets of her own, she enjoys volunteering with the Humane Society to take dogs on “doggy field trips.” Her adventurous spirit and commitment to growth are reflected in her love for reading, research, hiking, rock climbing, salsa dancing, leading bible studies, and traveling.
Dreams, Goals, and Philosophy of Care.
Chatara’s work is deeply rooted in faith and restoration. Her goals include helping to rehouse the unsheltered, reuniting families, and supporting healing from mental health and addiction challenges. She is currently pursuing her LCSW credential with plans to open a private practice and eventually earn a Master of Divinity. Inspired by her own lived experience with housing instability and its impact on families, she is dedicated to walking alongside others on their journeys toward healing.
Her therapeutic philosophy centers on holistic restoration—serving the mind, body, spirit, and community. She believes true healing occurs when individuals are heard and valued without judgment. By integrating clinical excellence with cultural humility and practical empowerment, she partners with patients to foster identity restoration, purpose discovery, and long-term stability.
