FAA Color Vision Policy Update – January 1, 2025
The FAA has updated its color vision standards for pilots. At The Pilot Clinic, we use the Waggoner Color Vision Test during initial FAA medical exams.
If an applicant struggles with this test, we provide a referral for the Rabin Cone Contrast Test (RCCT), an FAA-approved option that helps confirm color vision status. We also assist with completing the FAA Color Vision Limitation Review Form when needed.
Our goal is to help every pilot understand their options. We strive to understand the unique needs of every pilot and have experience navigating the FAA landscape.
