Kindness isn’t something we can lecture into a child — it’s something they absorb from how we move through the world.

They notice how we speak to them when we’re tired.
How we treat the waiter, the stranger, the delivery driver, the neighbour.
How we handle mistakes — theirs, and our own.

Every interaction becomes a lesson:
This is how we listen.
This is how we care.
This is how we repair when we get it wrong.

Because children don’t just copy what we say — they mirror how we make them feel.

So if we want to raise kind humans, we start by being the softness they return to, and the compassion they grow to share. ❤️

I absolutely love teaching about Reparenting yourself when you are a mom who has had her own traumatic childhood experiences. Being a mom with trauma is really hard, and it can be scary to navigate as you fear you are making a mess of parenting.
