Zoe Midwifery An independent midwifery practice providing comprehensive care in Goshen, Indiana. She has been a preceptor to student nurse midwives since 2015.

Nurse Midwife Betsy partners with women for thoughtful healthcare throughout their lives. Core values and guiding principles include:

Services offered:
• Well-woman care & Hormone imbalances
• Prenatal care and birth at home & Blessed Beginnings Care Center
• Postpartum care
• Newborn care for the first month of life

Betsy McCanse, CNM, has been in the “birth world” since 2003. She started her journey as a childbirth educator teaching Bradley classes, became certified as a doula through DONA, Int in 2005, and then started her trek to become a Certified Nurse Midwife through the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been practicing as a midwife in the Goshen area since 2013, providing full-scope midwifery care for women across their reproductive lifespans. Over the years she has served women at Goshen Birth Center, Goshen Hospital, Blessed Beginnings Care Center and at homes. She has guided over 600 babies and has provided labor support to those families and many others whose babies have been caught by students or ended up with cesareans. Additionally, Betsy has taken a course in Mayan Abdominal Massage Self-Care, and has certifications in K-taping for pregnancy/postpartum and clinical homeopathy. She is passionate about holding the space for women, to enable birth to be an empowering experience, and in taking part in shared decision making in healthcare throughout women’s lives. She finds year-round joy in blues and swing dancing, and tent camping in the warm months.

Makiah was born at Parkview Noble at 1:08pm, weighing 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Janice prepared well and worked hard through the labor, and took things in stride when the birth location had to change. Annie was born at 3:50pm and weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She joins siblings Declan and Eden. Cheyenne was cool and calm and collected throughout, and welcomed their daughter gently into this world. It has been a pleasure to be with this family again as they continue to grow. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. He joins sister Alaiyah. Monica was persistently strong as she changed positions to make the best space for Krew to emerge. Ren and Staci (O'Dell) Zent of Argos are pleased to announce the birth of daughter Reverie Alynn Zent at Blessed Beginnings Care Center. Reverie was born with sisters present on December 2, 2025 at 8:17pm. Staci was did a great job taking care of herself while also taking care of the family through pregnancy. She was calm and determined as she moved through birth and gave Reverie a gentle welcome to this world. Reverie weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins sisters Rylan, Rori and Rowan in rounding out this family of girls. It has truly been an honor to be with this family through the years as they have grown their family.
