23,746 Canadians died on healthcare waitlists last year.

This isn’t ER wait times…
This is people waiting for diagnostics, specialists, and treatment.

Canada today:
• 30 weeks from referral to treatment
• 6.5 million without a family doctor
• Nearly half of hospital beds occupied by patients waiting for long term care

How do we compare?

Canada: among the worst in the OECD for access to timely care
Germany: most patients see specialists in days
Netherlands: strict wait time guarantees
U.K.: struggling but still tracks and caps wait lists
U.S.: fastest access for those insured

Canada spends heavily…
But ranks poorly on access.

How we fix it:

1. Clear the LTC backlog so hospital beds reopen
2. Build more home care so seniors don’t end up stuck in hospitals
3. Use independent surgical centres for hips, knees, cataracts, diagnostics
4. Fund the patient, not the waitlist, across provinces
5. Make health records follow the patient instantly
6. Track every waitlist publicly, by hospital and procedure
7. Pay for outcomes, not just activity
8. Add more family doctors, nurse practitioners, and team based clinics
9. Expand operating room hours where capacity exists
10. Send patients abroad when Canada cannot treat in time

The fix is not just more money.
It is more care, faster movement, and no more hiding the queue.

Bittersweet goodbye to Christina Stevenson. She’s moving on and joining OSMC. As much as we are sad to see her go we are also happy for her. Wish her all the best !!!!

We had an awesome Easter egg hunt at the office this week 🐣🥚

Safe to say… the competition was real and the enthusiasm was even better. The office may run on medicine, but today it clearly ran on wine, choclate and teamwork.

Huge thanks to our amazing staff for bringing the energy, laughter, and a little bit of friendly chaos. Moments like these remind us how lucky We are to work with such a great team.

Already looking forward to next year’s rematch 😄

Office will be closed for the Christmas holidays starting December 25th onwards. We will reopen at regular hours on January 5th, Monday. Phones will be on 8:30 am till Noon on Dec 29,Monday through Dec 31 Wednesday. There will be staff in the office to provide assistance.
