Before the calendar flips and everything feels rushed again, I want to invite you to pause for a moment.
Think back over the last three months.
What has felt hard lately?
What behaviors have been showing up more often?
Where have you felt stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to try next?
Now, just as important, take a moment to notice what has improved.
Maybe transitions are a little smoother than they used to be.
Maybe you’re seeing fewer meltdowns, or they don’t last as long.
Maybe your child or students are communicating more, even in small ways.
Maybe you feel more confident responding instead of reacting.
Those changes didn't happen by accident. They came from you showing up, trying strategies, adjusting expectations, and applying what you’ve learned. That matters.
As the new year approaches, we are not encouraging big resolutions or all-or-nothing goals.
Instead, we invite you to make a commitment.
One small, realistic commitment you can build on day by day.
That commitment might look different for everyone.
It might mean getting extra support through coaching.
It might mean joining a community of parents or educators who understand these challenges.
It might mean taking one online course and applying one strategy at a time.
It might mean enrolling your child in services when the timing feels right.
There is no single right next step. There is only the next step that feels doable for you right now.
At The Behavior Place, our role is not to push you into anything. Our role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of what you are seeing, and support steady progress over time.
If the last few months have taught you anything, it's that small changes practiced consistently can add up to meaningful growth.
When you are ready, whether that is now or later, we are here to support you in 2026 and beyond.
