I didn’t find another place to be for my dates ligoniercountrymarket because I didn’t think I’d need a back up plan for a 50 year producers market that brings in farmers from several outside counties, and visitors from all over. Ya know. For Food grown by People for People, without poison. And bakers who baked it. And makers who made it. And Herbalists who actually grow the Plants they work with. All these people are our neighbors, community, survival, and meaningful relationships. It’s even like a village. People you trust with the health of your family.
Is this not a sacred and holy thing?
I guess I just couldn’t imagine a situation where it would be seemingly impossible to find a home for a beautiful farmers market after being pushed out of their lease.
Silly me!
I was busy trusting, sowing, growing, teaching, seeing clients, helping families, taking on *another* job *again*, formulating, providing therapeutics and hoping this 11th year is not my last being able to offer these invaluable services, without reliable income at all. Lolz. Insanity.
Living out of township and gossip mill, I had no idea the Present existence of the market, community, village , was this precarious.
My heart and spirit continue to be in great pain for all us FARMERS feeding FAMILIES.
We unfortunately will not see you for opening weekend May 16th.
I continue to try and find appropriate places that support an organic, regenerative herb farm in PA and why that is difficult is another complex issue, mostly due to people’s perceptions, value systems, and other relational things like scarcity mindset - competition > cooperation because of fear.
We must be organized, strategic, and unified.
Period.
If you are more interested in solutions, responding to food and health crisis in meaningful ways cooperatively,
If you want MOBILE MERAKI delivered to you
If you want to purchase Herbs from Herb Farmers
If you want to come to other events where I’m also teaching
If you wanna give and take care of each other
