A beautiful Mother’s Day Tea Party! 💐 Today we celebrate all the amazing moms, aunts, grandmothers, and mother figures who nurture and support our students every day. We also recognize the dads who lovingly step into that role. We’re grateful for each of you!

Without a 4% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII), nonprofit providers cannot sustain the essential services that New Yorkers with intellectual and developmental disabilities rely on every day.
And we know one thing clearly: investment works.

Recent state funding has already made a real impact:
⬇️ 44% decrease in DSP vacancies
⬇️ 6% reduction in staff turnover
⬆️ 28.6% increase in starting wages
This progress matters—but it’s fragile.

We cannot afford to lose the ground we’ve gained. Sustained investment is the only way to keep up with rising costs, support the workforce, and ensure quality, person-centered care.

Now is the time to continue moving forward—not backward.

April’s Theme: Insects 🐞🐛🐝

This month, our preschoolers explored the fascinating world of bugs! From learning how insects help our environment to understanding their role in the food chain, students discovered just how important these tiny creatures are.

Through hands-on activities and observation, they also built early science skills while developing empathy and appreciation for nature.

Our Day Hab Without Walls participants are making a difference in the community! 💙

They volunteer at Victory Hill Therapeutic Horsemanship helping maintain the grounds and barn while supporting the care of horses and other rescued animals.

It’s a meaningful experience that builds skills, confidence, and connection—for both our individuals and the animals they help care for. 🐴✨
