Gothenburg Health is a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic serving the needs of Gothenburg and the surrounding area. The existing building was built in 1969 with a 3.5 million-dollar addition and renovation project completed in 2004 to provide up-to-date m

edical care in our service area. In 2014 Gothenburg Health broke ground on a 29.5 million-dollar renovation and expansion that started with a state-of-the-art surgical expansion. The new construction includes a brand-new patient wing, prominent main entry, clinical expansion and advanced imaging suite. Gothenburg Health is a non-profit healthcare facility governed by a publicly elected board of directors. Gothenburg Health believes strongly in the philosophy of investing in the future; preparing for the future with progressive technology aimed to provide our patient population with the healthcare services they deserve while providing a strong and healthy long-term future for Gothenburg Health. The 26th Annual Gothenburg Health Foundation Golf Tournament raises funds to provide scholarships to graduating seniors who intend to pursue a degree in the medical field. We have given out 51 scholarships over the years with many of those students returning to practice medicine locally. Gothenburg Health is excited to UNITE FOR A CAUSE with the Cozad Community and Lexington Regional Hospitals to be part of the Health and Wellness tent at the Cattlemen’s Ball on June 6.

As featured in this interview, a screening is available to test for a predisposition for over 50 cancers. There is a cost associated and requires a pre-registration on the Cattleman‘s Ball website.

100% a funds raised at The Cattlemen’s Ball will go to support cancer research and prevention.
