“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” — Lao Tzu
As we move into the year of the Fire Horse, the young horse phase, the beginning phase is a good time to release, a time for letting go—not just of physical things, but of emotions and thoughts that no longer serve you. Just as the trees shed their leaves every autumn cycle, we, too, need to shed what’s weighing us down before beginning a new lunar cycle.
It’s easy to hold on to stress, old patterns, and that mental clutter that keeps you from truly healing. You may think that letting go means losing something important—but the truth is, you can’t move forward until you let go and for many of us clarity comes in doing.
In my practice, I often see patients holding onto emotional blocks that have become a barrier to their health. Emotional blocks like grief, trauma, or frustration can cloud the lens of perception. Healing starts when we allow ourselves to release, clearing out the cobwebs, the stale patterns, the outdated thought-forms to make space for new things, ideas, experiences.
Don’t let what’s holding you back define your next lunar cycle. Start letting go today and make room for something new and healing to come into your life. After acupuncture, many feel a lightness of being or a ground and reset. One visitor to the clinic last week said, “I am walking out of here a different person. Thank you.”
