📢 Setting the Record Straight on Vaccines & Autism

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently altered its website in a way that falsely suggests a link between vaccines and autism.

As pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, we know the evidence remains clear. For decades, independent researchers across seven countries have conducted more than 40 high-quality studies involving over 5.6 million people. Their conclusion: vaccines do not cause autism.

Misinformation threatens public trust in one of the greatest advances in modern medicine.

The North Carolina Association of Pharmacists proudly stands with healthcare organizations nationwide in rejecting these false claims and supporting pharmacists as they guide patients with evidence-based information.

🎉 Big News for Our Pharmacy Community! 🎉

I’m excited to announce a major milestone: the Health System Practice Group within the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP) has officially transformed into the North Carolina Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NCSHP) — a dynamic, reenergized community for pharmacists and technicians across our state.

✨ Why the Change?

The NCAP Board saw the value in allowing practice groups to shape their own identity. After a full membership vote to amend our bylaws, the Health-System Practice Academy boldly rebranded to NCSHP, highlighting our role as North Carolina’s official ASHP affiliate.

This evolution strengthens our ability to connect, collaborate, and advocate for health-system pharmacy like never before.

🔍 What’s Next?

NCSHP is your space to:
• 🤝 Network with passionate professionals
• 💡 Share best practices and fresh ideas
• 📣 Advocate for the future of health-system pharmacy in North Carolina

Let’s celebrate this exciting new chapter and continue advancing pharmacy—together! 💊
