The St. James Parish Economic Development Board is proud to recognize Brignac Physical Therapy as the Small Business of the Month for June, 2025.
Chantel Brignac originally opened her business in Walker as Livingston Wellness and Rehab in 2001. She expanded to Lutcher, Louisiana in 2005 when she opened Brignac Physical Therapy, and has been in business here ever since.
Chantel commented on the wide variety of services Brignac Physical Therapy offers the community. She said, “We offer a wide range of services. If you want to get better faster, we offer free evaluations and would love to help you recover quickly. Give us a call, and let’s get you feeling good!”
Brignac Physical Therapy offers pool therapy, work conditioning, sports rehab, orthopedic rehab, joint replacement rehab, stroke rehab, orthopedic assessments/fittings, cardiac rehab conditioning, spin injury, whiplash, musculoskeletal, torticollis, functional capacity evaluations, dry needling, and woman’s health – beyond Kegel’s programming.
Chantel is extensively trained and uses her education and experience to help community members achieve their health goals. She graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1990. After earning her initial degree, Brignac went on to attend LSU Medical Center in New Orleans where she graduated in Physical Therapy. She is also a licensed athletic trainer and credentialed clinical instructor. To further the services she offers the community, Chantel has earned certificates in dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, blood flow restriction rehabilitation, and functional capacity evaluations for pre-work and return to work. Chantel works with many athletes and has even worked with many local high schools on their training and programs.
In addition to the range of physical therapy and exercise equipment, Brignac Physical Therapy partners with Anytime Fitness to use their equipment and has a heated pool for water therapy. Brignac noted, “We use the pool for patients with ankle, knee, back pain, balance challenges, weight bearing restrictions, or arthritis. We direct all pool programming and have had great success with it.”
