Forward Friday 🌟

Healing doesn’t always look like big moments.

Sometimes it’s…
🧸 A child making eye contact again
💬 A parent asking for help
🖍 A drawing that expresses what words can’t
💙 A family returning not because they have to, but because they want support

At PRCAC, we honor every small step forward, because each one means hope is growing.

👏 Today, we celebrate courage.

Today is World Emoji Day which is a reminder that every feeling deserves to be seen, and every child deserves to express theirs safely.

At the Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center, we believe every feeling is important even the hard ones. 😊😢😠

Whether a child feels happy, sad, scared, or unsure, our team listens with compassion and without judgment.

Helping kids name their emotions is the first step toward healing. 🧠💙

Let’s make it okay to talk about how we feel no matter what emoji we are today. 💬

Witness Wednesday 💙

Every child who walks through our doors is met with safety, compassion, and a team that believes them.

Our forensic interview room is designed to be calm, child-friendly, and private so kids can share their stories at their own pace.

Talk About It Tuesday 💬

Conversations about child abuse can be hard, but silence is more dangerous.
At PRCAC, we believe talking leads to healing. When we talk, we break cycles. We build trust. We create safety.

👂 Every child deserves to be heard.
🧡 Every survivor deserves to heal.

Let’s keep the conversation going.

🌿 Mental Health Monday Tips 🌿

Talk About Feelings
Encourage open, honest conversations. Let kids know it’s okay to feel sad, angry, scared and that you're a safe person to talk to.

Create Routines
Predictable schedules and comforting rituals (like bedtime stories or weekly family walks) help children feel secure and calm.

Move Every Day
Exercise, even light walking or dancing, boosts mood and helps manage anxiety and depression.

Get Outside
Nature helps calm the nervous system. A short walk, backyard play, or watching clouds can be powerful.

Connect With Support
Counseling, school resources, or a local advocacy center (like PRCAC!) can make a big difference.

🧠 Mental health isn’t just about feeling good, it’s about feeling safe, seen, and supported.

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s talk about it.

🧡 National Forensic Interviewer Week 🧡

When children walk through the doors of the Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center, the first face they often see is one filled with compassion, calm, and care—our forensic interviewers.

These highly trained professionals hold space for children during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. With specialized training through Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas (CAC of TX), our interviewers ensure every child’s voice is heard in a safe, supportive, and legally sound environment.

To date, our incredible Program Director has completed 1,624 forensic interviews—each one representing a child who deserved to be believed, protected, and empowered.

This week, we honor the quiet strength, empathy, and dedication it takes to sit across from a child and let them know they are safe.

💙 Thank you to our interviewers—you are the heart of this mission.

Tip Tuesday💡

Teaching children about body boundaries helps build safety and confidence early on. The best way to end child abuse is with early on prevention and advocacy!

Here are 3 simple rules every child should know:

1️⃣ Your body belongs to YOU.
2️⃣ No one should ask you to keep a secret about touching.
3️⃣ You can always talk to a safe adult.

These conversations may feel awkward, but they could protect a child from harm.
