We are the Local Mental Health and IDD Authority for Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Somervell Counties in Texas. As the Local Mental Health Authority for a 6 county region, we are here to help you or your loved one struggling with mental illness, substance use, intellectual or developmental disabilities. We offer a 24-hour crisis/intake line to anyone who may need it. If you find yo

👋 Meet Our Executive Director: Ruben DeHoyos!

Ruben DeHoyos brings decades of leadership and dedication to behavioral and developmental health care. He holds a Doctorate in Jurisprudence, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice.

Ruben's journey in behavioral and developmental health care began in 1984 at Helen Farabee Centers. Through the years, he worked for My Health My Resources of Tarrant County and the Denton County MHMR Center. In 2001, Ruben joined Pecan Valley Centers and held several titles until becoming executive director in 2025.

Though he’s no stranger to our organization, please join us in warmly welcoming Ruben into his new role as executive director! 🎉
