📢 Local Food Support in Granbury during the SNAP benefit crisis

Hey Granbury & Hood County friends — with the recent disruption of SNAP benefits due to the federal shutdown, more families and neighbors than ever may be feeling the pinch. You’re not alone, and there are local resources ready to help. 🙏

🔹 What you should know:
• If you’re experiencing reduced or delayed benefits, please don’t hesitate to access food pantries. They are here for you.

• If you have the capacity, please consider donating food, funds or time to support these organizations so they can rise to the moment.

🔹 Some trusted local food-pantries:
• Mission Granbury — 3611 Plaza East Court, Granbury, TX 76049. Weekly drive-thru food pantry: Tuesdays & Thursdays 9 am-3 pm; Wednesdays 2-5 pm. 

• People Helping People (Hood County) — 306 Kings Plaza, Granbury, TX 76049. Pantry open Mon/Wed/Fri 10 am-2 pm. 

• Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at Lakeside Baptist Church Outreach Center — 500 W Bluebonnet Dr., Granbury, TX 76048. Open Tuesdays & Thursdays 1-3 pm, and 2nd Saturday 9-11 am. 

🔹 How you can help or get help:
• If you need food: Bring photo ID, maybe proof of residence if required (each pantry differs) and visit during open hours.

• If you can give: Donate non-perishable food, funds, or your volunteer time. These organizations are relying on community support.

• Share this post: The more families that know about these pantry options, the fewer will fall through the cracks.

💙 Final thought:
In times like this we lean on one another. No one should face hunger alone. If you’re struggling because of the SNAP benefit disruption — reach out. If you’re able — step up and help. Together, we’ll make sure our community stays strong and supported.

Concho Hearts Hospice-located in Granbury/Pecan Plantation/Glen Rose will be providing Hot Dogs! Wings Over Texas Hospice will be doing popcorn and cotton candy! Harbor Hospice will be doing tattoos! Thank you to all who are donating candy and to those who will be hosting a trunk!

Thank you to the Cleburne Railroaders for hosting some trunks and games. There's still space to host a trunk!

Bridgewater Memory Care is brewing up some spooky fun, and YOU'RE invited! 👻

Join us on October 31st from 6PM to 8PM at 900 Autumn Ridge Drive for a family-friendly Trunk or Treat event filled with candy, costumes, and creepy cool cars! 🍬🕸️
